When we launched SoundPost one year ago, the idea was straightforward: help association finance teams gain control of their data, shorten the close, and reduce the burden of manual reconciliations.  It was never about building software for its own sake, but about solving persistent operational problems that prevent finance teams from working efficiently and confidently.

In the year since, SoundPost has grown from a concept into an active platform for automation, integration, and insight.  The company’s focus has remained constant: deliver practical tools and impactful services that help association finance teams close faster, strengthen reporting accuracy, and elevate financial performance.

Notable Milestones

SoundPost Bridge

The launch of SoundPost Bridge marked a major milestone.  Bridge automates the flow of accounting data from AMS, event registration, and eCommerce systems to the general ledger, reducing manual effort, improving accuracy, and enhancing audit readiness.  The platform is built on a simple principle: automation should reinforce sound accounting practices, not override them.

Client Engagement Highlights

Over its first year, SoundPost supported a range of organizations in strengthening the connection between finance, data, and technology.
Highlights include:

  • Guiding a membership organization through an AMS migration, maintaining continuity in dues billing, reporting, and accounting support during the transition.

  • Providing ongoing month-end and year-end close assistance to an association’s accounting team, reconciling operational and general ledger data, optimizing key processes while serving as a subject matter expert on AMS accounting functionality.

  • Conducting an independent review of revenue recognition practices for a national association, assessing member transaction workflows, data accuracy, and financial reporting reliability.

  • Advancing accounting process automation and reporting for several clients, focusing on reconciliation, process efficiency, and data quality across financial systems.

The SoundPost Blog

This year, the SoundPost Blog published 40 articles exploring the evolving intersection of finance, technology, and management in associations.  Topics ranged from AI adoption and DuPont analysis to benchmarking and the balanced scorecard for associations.  Each article built on the same idea that launched SoundPost: finance teams should have access to advanced analytics and intelligent automation without unnecessary complexity.

Sage Tech Partnership

SoundPost became an official Sage Tech Partner this year, reflecting a shared commitment to building reliable, enterprise-grade accounting integrations for associations. The partnership strengthens SoundPost’s alignment with Sage’s integration standards and provides access to Sage’s development tools and support infrastructure.

This collaboration reinforces SoundPost Bridge’s position as a trusted integration platform for association finance teams using Sage Intacct and underscores a joint focus on reliability, clarity, and ease of use in financial automation.

Industry and Collaboration

SoundPost participated in two Blue Cypress Innovation Hubs, sharing insights and product progress within the network’s ecosystem of technology firms.  The company also exhibited at the 2025 ASAE Annual Meeting, introducing SoundPost Bridge to a wider community of association finance and technology leaders.  These experiences strengthened collaboration, sparked valuable dialogue, and helped shape new ideas that will inform SoundPost’s second year.

What Comes Next

The year ahead will focus on advancing SoundPost Bridge as the foundation of association accounting automation.  The roadmap includes expanding automation and analysis capabilities, introducing AI-powered financial insights, and deepening integration coverage through new partnerships with AMS providers, accounting platforms, and other systems critical to associations.

The mission remains the same: to help finance teams close faster, trust their data, and focus on the insights that drive results.

Closing Notes

This first year was shaped by collaboration with clients, partners, and peers who share a belief that association finance deserves tools built for its unique complexities.  Every reconciliation automated, every workflow simplified, and every hour saved by an association accounting team reflects that shared commitment.

Thank you for being part of SoundPost’s first year.
