Why SoundPost Bridge?

Most mid-to-large associations move data from their AMS, event, and commerce systems into the general ledger through file exports and imports. The process works, but it is brittle: mappings break, month-end allocations and adjustments are entered manually, and the reports finance needs (A/R, deferred revenue, sales activity and forecasts) are spread across multiple systems and spreadsheets, slow to assemble, and unreliable. Schedules tie to GL control accounts, and recognized and deferred balances are reportable as of any date.

It connects operational systems such as the AMS, event registration, and e-commerce platforms to the existing general ledger in Sage Intacct, Business Central, or QuickBooks. SoundPost Bridge transforms source-system transactions into journal-ready entries, posts them to the accounting system, and provides reconciliation and reporting on the data flowing between systems. The accounting system remains the official financial record.

SoundPost Bridge supplements AMS platforms that function as accounting subledgers, including Aptify, iMIS, and similar systems. It ingests transaction data such as orders, payments, scheduled transactions, and adjustments, applies GL and dimensional mapping, and generates journal-ready entries with automated revenue recognition and deferred revenue scheduling. SoundPost Bridge operates independently of the AMS's native batch processing, supports reconciliation between the AMS subledger and the general ledger, and consolidates reporting across the AMS and other connected commerce systems.

It ingests registration, sponsorship, donation, and order data, applies GL and dimensional mapping, generates journal-ready entries with deferred revenue scheduling tied to delivery dates, and produces A/R aging and deferred revenue reporting that reconciles to the general ledger.
